8.5lb Rainbow Trout caught on lake 3 at Roger Daltrey's Lakedown Trout Fishery in 1994. The fish was taken on floating line using a gold head mayfly nymph. It must be one of the best marked rainbows I have caught and it gave me a place in the One Over The Eight Club. I managed to win the One Over The Eight Club competition the following year after being invited to fish with the other members of the club. I was presented with a fly rod by Roger himself. Lakedown was one of my favourite trout fisheries.
